Ammonites

Ammonites excellently symbolize the nature of evolution. Every stage of development is extrapolated from the preceding segments in ever expanding complexity and refinement. The evolutionary process can thus be traced in an inward spiral, back to its origin at the center. Likewise, the path of evolution also flows in an outward spiral, leading us to the present. When pre-existing, or causative, stages are perceived clearly, it is easier to understand their present effects or even glimpse future possibilities. No matter how you view it, beauty is abundant.
